Repairing your roof? Good call. Our roof repairs can extend your roof’s lifespan by up to a decade.
Let’s face it - roofs are expensive. But the good thing is that not every roof needs a full replacement. Maybe you just have a few loose shingles, broken tiles, or a leaky chimney. These issues can be repaired quickly and at a fraction of the cost of a full roof replacement. We can help you even if you just need seasonal maintenance or minor repairs.
Why should I repair my roof?
Especially in San Diego, roofs are easy to neglect. We don’t get rain very often, and as such we don’t get the dramatic leaks that people in other parts of the world do. However, that doesn’t save us from the structural damage and energy inefficiency that comes from a damaged roof. Roof damage can cause expensive damage to the rest of your home by letting the elements into your house, whether that’s wind, rain, dust, plants, or even animals. Repairs are a great idea to avoid paying for more expensive repair work later down the road.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much will a roof repair cost in San Diego?
This depends on the extent of the repairs, the type of repairs needed, and the size of the area that needs work. We're happy to take out the guesswork and provide a free estimate and consultation with options for most budgets.
How should I decide which repair estimate to go with?
We always encourage you to do your homework on each roofing company you contact and the services they bring to the table. A few things to look for when comparing proposals:
- Materials used — note the manufacturer, the type and style of shingle, and the grade of material, so it's easier to evaluate multiple proposals.
- Availability — can the roofer meet your timeline, and how long will the work take?
- Licensing and insurance — make sure the estimate includes relevant licenses and insurance to avoid homeowner liability. At Resilient Roofing, all of our workers are fully licensed and insured.
What kind of warranty is included?
Unless otherwise specified, a Resilient Roofing repair is warrantied for one year. This is shorter than our warranty on full roof replacements because, while we're fully confident in the section we repaired, we can't guarantee the same for the sections of roof we didn't work on.
How do I know if I need a roof repair?
A few signs to look for:
- Loose shingles or tiles
- Water leaking into your home
- Unexplained stains or discoloration on your walls or ceilings
- Visible damage to your roof
If you're in the San Diego area and wondering whether your roof needs repairs, schedule a free consultation with our fully licensed and insured team. We'd be happy to conduct a complimentary inspection.
How long will a roof repair last?
It depends a lot on the condition of the rest of the roof. Additional damage elsewhere, if not fixed properly, will reduce the effectiveness of our repairs — our repairs are only as good as the surrounding roof.
What causes a roof to wear?
The most common causes of wear on a roof are:
- Ultraviolet radiation from the sun — natural, and why roofs deteriorate over long periods.
- Expansion and contraction from heating and cooling, minimized by choosing lighter shingle colors that reflect more heat.
- Wind and water damage — sometimes unavoidable, though properly installed materials are extremely resistant to most weather.
- Improper maintenance — see 4 reasons you should never attempt DIY roof work for why we recommend a professional.
- Debris — keep branches, sticks, and dirt buildup cleared off.
To keep your roof in great shape, inspect it every 1 to 2 years for shingle damage, debris build-up, caulking, and overhanging branches.
How long does a roof repair take?
The majority of our repairs take between one and two days, though it can take longer if we find additional damage during the repair.
How do I know if I need a repair or a replacement?
Thankfully, not every issue needs a full roof replacement. Minor issues can usually be solved with a repair, which can save you a lot of money. That said, eventually every roof needs replacing, and we're well versed in doing that quickly and painlessly. At Resilient Roofing, we will never replace a roof unless it genuinely needs it.
