What Is RoofGuard? San Diego's Roof Maintenance Program, Explained

Most San Diego homeowners think about their roof exactly twice: the day it's installed and the day it leaks. Everything in between — the slow wear from sun, the flashing seals that dry out, the debris that piles up in valleys — happens quietly, out of sight, until a wet winter finds the weak spot. RoofGuard is our answer to that gap: a preventative maintenance program that puts trained eyes on your roof on a schedule, so small problems get fixed while they're still small.

With NOAA now forecasting a potentially historic El Niño winter, there's never been a more practical moment to explain how it works.

What RoofGuard Actually Is

RoofGuard is a scheduled maintenance visit — or a membership of repeat visits, depending on the package — performed by a Resilient Roofing professional. It isn't a sales appointment, and we don't send a rep. One trained roofer shows up and works through the roof top to bottom. Every visit includes:

That last point matters. If the inspection turns up something bigger, you haven't paid for a visit and a repair — the visit becomes a down payment on the fix.

The Three Packages

RoofGuard comes in three tiers, priced by roof size (under or over 2,500 square feet):

Current pricing for every package is on the RoofGuard page — as of this writing, Essentials starts at $299 for smaller roofs. Checkout is handled securely by Stripe, and our team reaches out within one business day to schedule, usually within about a week. You don't even need to be home, as long as we can reach the roof.

Who RoofGuard Is For

RoofGuard makes the most sense if any of these sound like you:

And to be equally honest about who it's not for: if your roof is at the end of its life, maintenance won't rescue it — a replacement conversation is the honest one. And if you have an active leak right now, skip the program and call our repair team directly. RoofGuard is for getting ahead of problems, not catching up to them.

Why We Built It

We've spent decades repairing San Diego roofs, and the pattern never changes: the expensive emergency call in January was almost always a cheap fix the previous August. Our dry climate makes it easy to ignore a roof for years — and then a wet winter arrives and grades every skipped inspection at once. RoofGuard exists so that grade comes back clean.
