What Is RoofGuard? San Diego's Roof Maintenance Program, Explained

Most San Diego homeowners think about their roof exactly twice: the day it's installed and the day it leaks. Everything in between — the slow wear from sun, the flashing seals that dry out, the debris that piles up in valleys — happens quietly, out of sight, until a wet winter finds the weak spot. RoofGuard is our answer to that gap: a preventative maintenance program that puts trained eyes on your roof on a schedule, so small problems get fixed while they're still small.

What RoofGuard Actually Is

RoofGuard is a scheduled maintenance visit — or a membership of repeat visits, depending on the package — performed by a Resilient Roofing professional. It isn't a sales appointment, and we don't send a rep. One trained roofer shows up and works through the roof top to bottom. Every visit includes:

• A full 34-point inspection of your roof's structure, materials, and sealing
• Resealing of mastic flashings at the vulnerable points where most leaks start
• Debris removal from roof surfaces and valleys, so water can drain the way it's supposed to
• Minor repairs as needed — loose shingles reattached, slipped tiles reset, coping joints sealed, small tile damage repaired
• A detailed written report with photos, so you know exactly where your roof stands
• Credit toward future work — the cost of the visit applies toward any future repair or replacement with us

That last point matters. If the inspection turns up something bigger, you haven't paid for a visit and a repair — the visit becomes a down payment on the fix.

The Three Packages

RoofGuard comes in three tiers, priced by roof size (under or over 2,500 square feet):

• Essentials is the single-visit package: the full inspection, resealing, debris removal, minor repairs, and report described above. It's the right entry point if your roof has never had professional maintenance.
• Performance, our most popular package, is a five-visit membership that adds an attic inspection (ventilation, moisture, and early warning signs), gutter cleaning, and protective sealant painting.
• Elite is the comprehensive option: a ten-visit membership with our premium 82-point inspection, priority rush scheduling, termite inspection, and gutter seam resealing on top of everything in Performance.

Current pricing for every package is on the RoofGuard page — as of this writing, Essentials starts at $299 for smaller roofs. Checkout is handled securely by Stripe, and our team reaches out within one business day to schedule, usually within about a week. You don't even need to be home, as long as we can reach the roof.

Who RoofGuard Is For

RoofGuard makes the most sense if any of these sound like you:

• Your roof is 5 to 20 years old. Young enough that replacement would be wasteful, old enough that sealants and flashings are wearing. This is the stretch of a roof's life where maintenance pays for itself, and regular upkeep can extend a roof's life by as much as a decade.
• You can't remember your last inspection. Most of the maintenance habits that add years to a roof start with simply knowing its condition.
• You're heading into a wet winter — like this one. El Niño seasons test San Diego roofs harder than any other, and the failures are almost always small, preventable things: a dried seal, a slipped tile, a clogged valley. A RoofGuard visit is designed to catch exactly those.
• You own a rental or you're often away. The photo report gives you a documented condition record without needing to be there.
